    What I Wore on Vacation

First, huge shout out to my parents who accidentally told all of their daughters we could bring our families for spring break. We made it work, but wow that was a lot of mouths to feed. They do it with grace, don’t flinch at the mess (too much at least), and taught me a pretty big parenting hack… give them a beach, and they will come. I kid, I kid, we would come no matter where they live, but those views certainly do help. I shared a lot about our trip to Longboat Key, Florida. I got in little bit of trouble for spilling the beans about this magical place. Apparently there are some people who don’t want the word to get out, but it’s a place I’ve been visiting since I was a kid and holds a very special place in my heart. I can’t help but to gush about this small town on the west coast. Maybe someday I’ll write an entire post on it, but for now…..outfits. Here is a round up of what I wore on our vacation to Florida.

Cold Weather Getaway: What To Pack

Taking a vacation is one of my favorite things to do. Packing…eh, not so much. And I can’t be alone in this. Don’t we all just want someone to pack for us? But when it comes to packing for a cold weather getaway I like to think I know a few things. Living in the Northeast winters can be colder than cold. Layers are key and give me all things fleece lined. If you are headed on a cold weather getaway check out a few things that must make it in your suitcase!

Base layers are key, but what’s on top is also very important! This one piece ski suit is warm, functional and fashionable!

C.C Cable Knit Fleece Lined Hat

If you know this hat then you know it’s a personal favorite. The fleece lining keeps the warmth in and the bright color helps to spot you on the slopes!

    Sorel Kinetic Breakthru Caribou Boot

Sorel boots are synonymous with warmth! And a great pair of warm and waterproof boots are a must for a cold weather getaway. This pair is lined with cozy, insulated microfleece, and have all-terrain rugged soles that grip. Oh and of course their chic!

So if you headed somewhere with some southern charm here are a few things I would recommend packing….

  • What to Pack: Wine Tasting

    What to Pack: Wine Tasting

If you are a wine lover, like myself, then a wine tasting trip is a trip of a lifetime. Packing for full day of wine hopping, sightseeing, shopping, exploring, might be daunting, but luckily this is one place I have been and I am here to help. You may have heard terms like “wine country casual” or “Napa Valley chic”…. there really are no rules, but with scenic views you may want to be photo ready. You will see looks ranging from jeans and cute blouses to easy, stylish dresses. One piece of advice: Don’t forget layers. The days are warm, but can quickly get chilly at night. When you are in wine country, most of the time is spent outdoors which means it’s important to pack a hat, a cool pair of sunnies and sunscreen. Check out our take on what to pack for your wine tasting trip….

    The Drop Tiered Maxi Dress

An easy, breezy comfortable dress is a must for wine tasting. A tired maxi is lightweight but looks chic with a cardigan or denim jacket when the temps get chilly.

    Hat Attack Tote

Make sure to have a lightweight bag on hand for your day of wine tasting. You will want to pack some sunscreen, maybe a hat and have room for any wine you want to take home! Bonus: this bag is also a cooler!

    Sorel Ella Sandal

A comfortable and walkable sandal is essential when packing for your wine tasting trip. Because let’s face it, there will be wine and it needs tasting!

  • What to Pack: Sightseeing

    What to Pack: Sightseeing

The vacation is booked! Woohoo! Now it’s time to figure out what to pack. Sometimes narrowing down what outfits make it in the suitcase can be tough no matter where I am headed. From the bustling streets of DC to the steep hills of San Francisco – if you are going on a sightseeing trip there are a few essentials to pack. I like to keep a clean and minimalist approach when recommending items for this type of travel. Neutral basics with a few pop items and easy layers create versatility for outfitting. Other important items range from great a walking shoe to a chic bag that can hold the essentials and be worn multiple ways. We need our hands free to take all of the pictures! Be sure to save room for that one and done dress. A dress that can be worn while strolling the streets and then take you straight to dinner. A fun printed bandana can be used as a scarf, headband, or belt! Be creative! Packing for this type of trip is all about ease. Check out more essentials to consider for your upcoming sightseeing getaway….

    LONDON FOG SNEAKERS

This may just be the cutest slip on shoe I’ve ever seen. Just try to order only one color. Lots of reviews recommending to size up.

    THINKROLYN BAG

An easy cross body bag (with a fun strap) is essential for travel. This brand just happens to be a favorite of mine.

    TREASURE & BOND BLOUSE

A chic and simple blouse can really go a long way. Pairs easily with denim and provides the perfect canvas for pop accessories.

What I Actually Wore – Vacation Edit

What a week! I am insanely grateful for our beach getaway and the change of scene. Normally we would be in the midst of baseball tournament teams and doing the camp run around with my younger kids, but since everything in cancelled we decided to go to the beach a little earlier than usual. It’s a little chilly, but the kids don’t mind (still swimming), and there’s just something about that salt air that is good for the soul. I have unapologetically been wearing all of the cute summer outfits I’ve been holding and have a pretty epic outfit roundup for you below. I think everyone has the same idea because things seem to be selling out fast! Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend that includes as least one non-loungewear event! Baby steps ♥️

  • Blending Trendy and Timeless

    Blending Trendy and Timeless

If you know me, you know that I love a look that strikes the perfect balance between trendy and timeless. Life is all about balance—whether I’m juggling school drop-offs, work meetings, or sideline snack duties. And when it comes to my wardrobe, balance is just as important. I need pieces that are trendy yet classic, versatile but comfortable, and most of all, easy to pull together amidst the daily chaos of motherhood. Enter these fabulous finds from Steve Madden, available at Dillard’s, that hit all the right notes for a chic, functional look.

    The Outfit Breakdown//

The Bodysuit: A fitted long-sleeve bodysuit is always a go-to for layering and looking polished with minimal effort. The fitted silhouette keeps it sleek, but the simplicity makes it a versatile staple for any outfit.

Wide Leg Jeans: Wide-leg denim is back and better than ever! These high-waisted jeans have a retro feel but with a modern twist, giving them that “cool girl” factor while still being comfortable enough for everyday wear. The wide-leg cut elongates the legs, while the high-rise waist keeps things flattering and totally on point. Fit Tip: Size up one size for best fit.

Leopard Sneakers: Let’s talk about these Steve Madden leopard sneakers. Leopard print is the print that never goes out of style. It’s bold, yet somehow still neutral enough to pair with almost anything.

  • How to Make Your Winter Wardrobe Less Blah and More Ta-Da!

How to Make Your Winter Wardrobe Less Blah and More Ta-Da!

We’ve reached that point in winter where getting dressed feels a bit… uninspired. If you’re anything like me, you’ve been rotating the same sweater-and-jeans combo for weeks now, and let’s be real—it’s starting to feel a little meh. But before you go into full-on wardrobe rebellion (a.k.a. shopping spree), let’s talk about a few easy ways to make those trusty basics feel fresh again.

    1.The Belt Trick

One of the easiest ways to elevate a sweater? Add a belt. It instantly defines your waist, adds visual interest, and gives off that effortlessly put-together vibe. Think of it as a tiny fashion magic trick—same outfit, new energy.

    2.Upgrade Your Denim

If you’re in a skinny-jeans rut (no judgment, they’re classics for a reason), try switching things up with a cool, modern pair—wide leg is my go to these days. Just enough change to make things interesting without making you question everything you know about pants.

3.The Power of a Camel Coat

A camel coat is like that friend who always makes you feel more polished just by standing next to you. It’s timeless, chic, and pairs with everything. Throw one over your sweater-and-jeans look, and suddenly, you’re the effortlessly elegant woman who has her life together (or at least looks like she does).

4.Balance It Out with a Baseball Cap

And just when you think you’re too polished, add a baseball cap. It keeps the whole look relaxed and gives a little nod to that “I didn’t try too hard” aesthetic. Plus, it hides unwashed hair, and that, my friends, is a win.

    5.The Sneaker Switch

Neutral sneakers are the unsung heroes of any wardrobe. They’re comfy, they go with everything, and they make even the most basic outfit feel effortlessly cool. A sleek pair of beige, cream, or white sneakers keeps your look fresh while making sure you can still chase down your kids (or your coffee order) with ease. Bonus: They transition seamlessly into spring, so technically this is an investment.
